About Us

Wendy and Ewout met in Montana in the summer of 2005. Wendy travelled there by train from Massachusetts and Ewout had travelled there by train after flying into Seattle. They met when they were coincidentally put into a hiking group together. After becoming friends on the trip, Ewout returned to the Netherlands. Wendy and Ewout kept in touch and just a couple of months later, Wendy moved to the Netherlands to build their new life together.

Both Wendy and Ewout work in education. In her free time, Wendy is a volunteer at Kinderdijk in Molenlanden.

Benjamin was born in 2007 and Jacey in 2011. Wendy and Ewout bought their house in Schelluinen in 2017 and Gus joined shortly after in 2020.
Huisje aan de Vliet

Huisje aan de Vliet was built in the summer of 2020. Wendy's parents moved to the Netherlands in the summer of 2021. They had every intention of staying and living here, but sometimes life takes unexpected turns. When they returned to the United States, Wendy and Ewout became proud owners of Huisje aan de Vliet holiday home.
